Frequently Asked Questions

Additionally, the property offers ample parking, green space for picnic tables and games of football, and accessibility for students living on or off campus.

  • Open spaces, co-working tables, and private nooks. Coffee. Breakfast Tacos. Desks, couches, armchairs. Killer playlists, curated by students. A fully stocked kitchen, where students can gather around the fellowship of cooking and eating together. Studio spaces, for music recording and podcasting, arts and crafts, and more. An outdoor area, with picnic tables, a grill, a firepit.

Most of all, the Lodge is identified by the students that inhabit it. Students working, creating, talking, cooking, caffeinating, studying, reading, napping, making music, watching movies, writing stories. The Lodge provides the crucial space that students seek during their college years: a place where they can just be, in safe and challenging community with other students. A space they can truly feel a sense of belonging, ownership, and that rare quality of being known.

  • Nope. The Lodge is free to all Ole Miss students who wish to find a second home in Oxford. The Lodge is a not-for-profit organization, so we do always accept donations, but no one is ever compelled to give. You can learn more about how to support the Lodge here.

  • The Christian Study Center movement has revolutionized college campuses across North America for several decades now, and the Oxford Lodge is proud to fall under its category of thoughtful, university-based study centers. Influenced by destination study centers such as L’Abri, local study centers began forming in the mid-seventies at universities such as UVA and Berkeley. The Consortium of Christian Study Centers references “communities of students and scholars animated by the ancient ideal of faith seeking understanding.” The Oxford Lodge is Mississippi’s first Christian Study Center.

  • The Lodge staff is composed of our Founder and Director, Bill Boyd, as well as the Oxford Lodge Board. You can meet them here. But the Lodge is chiefly run by students, for students. We always welcome your ideas and feedback. Get in touch with us here.
